Passion. Experience. Diligence.

I started capturing the world around him first with an instamatic camera as a kid, capturing images of his pets and familty vacations out west visiting Southern Utah and the Grand Canyon. In college while studying architecture, I took photography, learning how to use a large format camera and develop his own negatives and images in the dark room. I ended up working in that dark room as a graduate assistant and cemented my love affair with the camera.

Over the years I never stopped taking pictures of the places I visit such as Europe and the West, also utilizing photography in my work as an architect.

Moving to Colorado in the early 1980s I took my camera on many trips to the mountains, documenting my adventures and the vistas I saw there. As time went on those images included trips to Hawaii, Indonesia, Africa, Mexico and Europe.

My experiences on those trips included experiencing not only the built environment and the natural wonders there, but also the wildlife there. Snorkeling in Maui and encountering the beautiful tropical fish there awakened a desire to learn about everything in the natural world.
